The Department of Civil Aviation works continuously to improve and modernize the airport’s infrastructure as well as its service standards. Several projects are already in progress. Following are some of the projects planned for future:

• Launch of RAK Airways. 

• Aviation Academy offering international aviation certification. 

• Airport Hotel with high service standards. 

• Expansion of Ras Al Khaimah National Travel Agency (RANTA) into other emirates. 

• Airport Free Zone. 

• Ras Al Khaimah Air Cargo Company. 

• Launch of Charter Flights to Ras Al Khaimah. 

• Setting up of a private jet company.

We are working towards attracting major carriers from Europe and Far East to operate into Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, offering them the best technical stop facilities and tourism opportunities.  We are also approaching airlines to service the growing passenger market of Ras Al Khaimah emirate.
