The
privatisation project of the airport
The
Department of Civil Aviation had organized an open gathering
for all Airport staff on the issue of the privatisation
project of the airport. The workshop was headed by His
Highness Eng. Salim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Vice President
of Civil Aviation and member of General Aviation Authority
in the UAE, and by Mr. Mohammad Al Khuder, Manager of
Civil Aviation. The discussion revolved around privatisation
benefits for the staff and the new functioning of various
departments of the airport.

Honoring
ceremony for the departments
The Department
of Civil Aviation had an honoring ceremony for the departments
that are operating within the airport, which included
the airport police, the immigration department, airport
customs and airport security. The honoring ceremony
was hosted by His Highness Sheikh Salim bin Sultan Al
Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation,
Vice President of RAK Aviation and member of the General
Department of Civil Aviation in the UAE with Mr. Mohammad
Khodor, Manager of Civil Aviation and member of the
Economical Committee of the International Airport Council. |

Bahrain’s
Exhibition and Conference for developing and expanding
airports
His Highness
Engineer Shiekh Salim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman
of the Department of Civil Aviation in RAK and member
of the Civil Aviation Council in the UAE will present
a paper of developing and expanding the International
airport of RAK. His Highness assured that his participation
in this event as an official spokesman is because of
the departments plans to participate actively in every
aviation event both, regionally and internationally,
and to transform and be part of exchanging experiences
of offering services. The paper will have a deep description
of the latest civil aviation plans comprising privatisation
of the services of RAK International Airport to be held
by RAK Aviation Company which will be completed by Jan
2007. The paper will explain in detail the plans and
benefits of the privatisation of the airport as well
as the investment funded by RAK Aviation to expand the
airports capacity, workforce and infrastructure to start
the new flight of RAK Airways in the first quarter next
year. |

of handling ground services with Supreme Food Company
International (the largest food company based in Switzerland)
in co-operation with E-FRIGHT. Together they will service
two flights daily through RAK International Airport. |

Denber to operate transit cargo flights for the UN through
RAK International Airport, which states providing of
all ground services, fuel and food for the giant cargo
